In 1976, Gabe Valdez became one of the leading investigators into the cattle mutilation mystery that was spreading across the United States; based on his employment with the New Mexico State Police. As he started investigating the mutilations on the Gomez ranch outside of Dulce, New Mexico, he stumbled into much more than he bargained for.
His investigative findings led to a close friendship with Paul Bennewitz who was involved in a massive government-authorized disinformation campaign originating out of Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The harrowing tale of Paul Bennewitz led to the story of the alleged underground alien base near Dulce, New Mexico.
For the first time, you will see what really happened in Dulce during the 1980’s and you will see what the government does not want you to know. This true story is full of plot twists that were intentionally created by Air Force Intelligence and other clandestine Intelligence agencies associated with the United States Government. This book will separate fact from fiction and you will final be able to see the truth.
Get ready to read about military projects that are still currently classified and get to the bottom of this mystery. You will now have access to photos and evidence belonging to Paul Bennewitz and others which tell a very interesting story which have never been released to the public. Conduct your own crime scene investigation as you access evidence from the website www.dulcebasebook.com which you can cross reference with the book and make your own conclusions.
Greg Valdez is the middle son of Gabe Valdez. He followed a career in law enforcement like his father and his been involved in this mystery all of his life as he accompanied Gabe on many of his investigations while he was growing up.

Dulce Base The Truth and Evidence from the Case Files of Gabe Valdez eBook Greg Valdez

Considering Greg's training and education was aimed at becoming a police officer, he is a decent writer in my amateur opinion.
Obviously he and his Dad did a huge amount of research on government secrecy in the southwest part of the U.S.

The book delves into covert government and segments of the military that have long been involved with deceiving the public about secret testing. Greg has much evidence of cover ups, disinformation, harassment, and character assassination.

No wonder the writer always refers to the U.S. Air Force in lower case; "the air force". The writer touches on scientist Paul Bennewitz who starting tracking secret craft over Kirtland AF base. This appears to be a rare case where the government did the opposite of what their policy has been. Instead of hiding the fact of alien monitoring of this planet, they told Bennewitz that the aliens were indeed over Kirtland AF Base, to keep his attention there and away from the their secret ops going on in the Dulce area.

Greg does not believe aliens were involved at Dulce based on the info he has gathered, and he is not a supporter of the belief that our planet is being monitored by various alien beings. But he does not rule it out either. He tosses the idea out there that Roswell may have been a secret CIA craft that crashed. To Roswell experts, that is not credible. Roswell experts point out that the government explanation of test dummies hanging from parachutes that landed on the ground, confusing the locals, was not possible. Roswell happened in 1947 and the dummy program, from the government's own documents, was started around 1952-53.

The writer points out much evidence that there was a very busy covert base under Mount Archuleta in the Dulce area. For example, he points out vents circulating air out of the ground on the mountainside, and abandoned bullet-proof, air conditioned guard towers out in the middle of nowhere that guarded what ? The owner of the ranch who rented the land to the government was smart enough to keep his mouth shut and collect the federal rent money. His explanation was the towers were for tourists to observe wild life. From a bullet-proof guard tower ?

The book covers the governments' underground nuclear testing in that area during the 1950's and 60's by the Atomic Energy Commission. And tests by Sandia Labs and others for the effects of the radiation on animals not to mention people who were exposed and tested. That is presented as a possible explanation for the mutilations of the animals. The problem with this is that this laser removal of animal body parts has been observed in too many foreign nations.

Greg also mentions that the covert government may prefer to have foreign countries think the unusual crafts (UFO's)being seen are alien. That would be a perfect cover for secret spy craft from the U.S. collecting data over a Russian nuclear base, for example. But that does not explain why this would be happening in third world countries in South America for example. They have no nuclear or advanced military programs that would justify covert CIA or other spy craft.

The book also touches on the vast tunnel system that must be present under the continental U.S.,connecting secret installations. Likely the underground Dulce base connects to Area 51.

It is impossible to imagine the extent of the corruption and deception our covert government must be engaged in today, based on what Greg proves they did during the 1950's to the early 1980's in the American southwest, one of the great hiding places on the planet.

Dulce Base The Truth and Evidence from the Case Files of Gabe Valdez eBook Greg Valdez Reviews

There are several outstanding things about this book
1) The author is the son of the New Mexico State Trooper who spent many years investigating cattle mutilations in the Dulce area. Greg was present himself at many of the investigations, got to know the cast of characters in the Dulce story, and inherited his father's apparently voluminous case files.
2) Greg actually grew up in Dulce and lived there for many years, so he is familiar with the territory and the people who live there.
3) He writes from the perspective of a police investigator, sifting all the evidence for the most significant items and rejecting unsubstantiated tales and hearsay.

Interestingly, he tends to discount the alien angle since there is little or no hard evidence of alien beings. What there IS, is aircraft that are able to fly undetected at high rates of speed, and maneuver exceedingly well. And lots of dead cattle with a variety of organs surgically removed. Using Occam's razor, Greg concludes that all of the evidence can be most economically explained as highly advanced and secret aircraft manned by US troops. These aircraft were used to steal cattle, take them to a lab facility where they were autopsied and organs removed, then dumped back on the open range, all in the service of unacknowledged medical experiments.

You will be impressed by the variety and soundness of evidence the Greg provides to substantiate this theory.
I had heard Gabe Valdez in an interview before he died, and a follow up interview with Norio Hayakawa, but did not buy this book until recently. This book definitely expands upon those interviews.

The first odd thing I noticed was that the copyright mentions the book is for entertainment purposes only. This makes me question the veracity of the book, but as the narrative unfolds, it seems to me that this is more for Greg to -understandably- cover his butt, because he presumably has a life outside of this book.

The second thing, the author admits fat out that the manuscript has typos, grammar errors and the like. I'm glad he was honest about it, because the book does feature these. There is also some repetition and misused words, but this is not a fault of the author. In the hands of a good editor at a major publisher, these would be ironed out quite easily and they do not detract from the narrative, for me. It's my guess that the book is self published.

Lastly, the content.

The content in this book is hands down, one of the best resources for investigating UFOs and cattle mutilations. Personally, I view this book more as a Primary resource for research from someone who was there. As such, his findings and presentation are invaluable. The bulk of what he proposes is probably the best explanation for the cattle mute phenomenon. Even so, some of his assertions I do not agree with and I am skeptical of his theory of the aircraft photographed by Paul Bennewitz. The pictures in the book look quite fake. But on the other hand, something did happen, and his theory is not that unsound.

Although the narrative provided by Valdez is good, I take one star down for lack of corroborating evidence in the actual book. Many times in the book, you will be directed to the website, which I have honestly not gone to yet. I would strongly suggest that these references get footnoted, and in the Edition, especially for $10, hot-linked to the site. There is a bibliography, but again, without footnotes, it wasn't helpful to me as a casual researcher.

In summary, there is great information and a sound theory in the book, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about the truth about the Dulce alien base. I would encourage the author to reduce the price by about half on , add footnotes and add hyperlinks to the Web documents into the edition. Alternately, include the important documents as an appendix with footnotes and links.

Otherwise, great read. One of the easier to read books in the UFO genre!
